In January, nearly 1,000 people gather for the groundbreaking of the stamping plant. The plant, covering 34 acres, will have a 1.5-million-square-foot manufacturing area and a 57,000-square-foot administration building. At a groundbreaking banquet, officials say that Chrysler has 1,300 Ohio suppliers, nearly 400 of them in Summit and Cuyahoga counties.
